OUR PURPOSE
Green Baseload Africa (GBA) is an emerging player in the renewable energy (RE) sector within the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, with a specific focus on Namibia. GBA is a dynamic player in the renewable energy sector in SADC and has four (4) core business areas, covering the full spectrum of expertise in utility scale renewable energy projects including green or brown field project development, investment, engineering procurement construction (EPC), operations and maintenance (O&M). Our firm is proud to be a majority Namibian owned company with a significant portion of its ownership and management represented by previously disadvantaged Namibians (PDN). GBA is committed to leading the transition to Green Baseload (GB) energy solutions in Africa with a strategic vision to develop +5 GW of GB energy assets over the next decade making a significant impact on the region's energy landscape.
EXPERIENCE AND CAPACITY
GBA’s roots stem from the solar and primarily wind energy sector having successfully developed over thirty-five (35) international projects across two continents namely Europe and Africa.
GBA has a strong financial backing from its shareholders which is coupled to its technical expertise that are reinforced by its team members who have in combination over ninety (90) years of experience in the energy and infrastructure sector across Africa and Europe.
WHAT WE DO
1. Hybrid Green Baseload (GB) Energy Power Plants: Developing and operating power plants that provide a consistent and reliable source of renewable energy harnessing wind, solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) for maximum grid stability.
2. Local Manufacturing: Together with Windwise Namibia https://windwisenamibia.com/ GBA's exclusive original equipment manufacturer (OEM), promoting the establishment of a Namibian wind turbine manufacturing industry, aimed at achieving Africa's technological and supply chain independence while creating sustainable high-value local jobs.
